Welcome fly fishers to your prime resource for fly fishing in the Tahoe-Truckee region. This website contains the collective knowledge of and experience of hundreds of passionate people who have been fooling trout since 1984. We strive to be the go-to-place for Tahoe-Truckee locals and visitors to our region.
We invite you to join our organization for great fishing and fellowship. It's easy! Anyone can join. We are an inclusive group and we value diversity. We created the Sierra Fly Girls group for our women Fly Fishers to easily find each other and coordinate women's outings and events.
To join, click the menu item to the left called Member Signup and you will be guided through the registration process. You can pay online by credit card ($30 Single, $35 Family) or you can send in a check. Once processed, you will have full access to all the resources in the website. Check out our Forums to see the latest fishing reports.
For our Members, there is content about our local waters, techniques, equipment, resources and most importantly, getting to know and network with your fellow members.
Our primary focus is the Truckee, Yuba, Carson, Walker and Feather river watersheds from the wilderness backcountry to Pyramid Lake in Nevada, 45 minutes north of Reno. We do fishing outings from the Northern Sierra to the Golden Trout Wilderness, Central California Valleys, Northern Nevada, Southern Oregon for trout and steelhead as well as other Western states and occasionally saltwater in warm weather destinations.
