The Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers are all about fishing.
We actually get out and fish with each other!
We do this in several ways, from encouraging our members to fish with each other to our frequent GroupFish events where more advanced members share their knowledge with members on their fly fishing journey.

Our programs in the general meetings are aimed at giving members the knowledge they need to approach new venues or to enhance their knowledge of a particular place. These programs typically cover venues local to Truckee/North Tahoe or within a reasonable driving distance. We get the best guides and speakers to share their proven techniques for a given location. Recent programs have covered Stillwater Fly Fishing Techniques by Ernie Gulley, Lakes of Northern California by Lance Gray, Secret Locations in Northern Nevada by Mike Sevon, North Fork of the Yuba by Jon Baiocchi and Pyramid Lake Techniques by Rob Anderson and Doug Ouellette.
While we stress actual fishing, we also are active in conservation with our local Trout Unlimited Truckee River Chapter and the Truckee River Watershed Council (TRWC), an outstanding local non-profit actually fixing problems in our primary local watershed.
