This still-water clinic consists of two ~1.5-2-hour classroom lectures followed sometime later (TBD) by a day of fishing on a local lake to practice what you learned in the classroom.
This clinic assumes you have basic fly-fishing skills (basic casting, knots, gear, etc.) but would like to expand your lake fishing knowledge and skills. The clinic topics will include why to fish lakes, characteristics of trout lakes, trout behavior in lakes, still-water gear including watercraft and fish finders, various lines, and still-water accessories, entomology and flies, seasons, weather impacts, line retrieves, floating and sinking line presentation techniques, etc.
The cost of the clinic is $50, which will cover the cost of the classroom, the purchase of a still-water fly fishing book for each attendees, and a sample of some still-water flies. Registration is limited to 8 attendees. If there is enough interest, another clinic can be held at a later date. If you have any questions, please let me know (Tom Olinger, tompolinger@gmail.com).
