The Lost Sierra is located an hour north of the town of Truckee encompassing the south east portion of Plumas National Forest. Jon will share his long time experience in both fishing and guiding the Lost Sierra, as well as being a local living in the area from 1996 to 2013. The Tour will cover Access areas - Rigging - Leader Formulas - Fly Recommendations - Local Inside Knowledge. Leaders, tippets, lunch, drinks, and handouts included. This tour is open to all experience levels for anglers wanting to learn more about the creeks of the Lost Sierra. 4 different creeks (Jamison, Little Jamison, Frazier, Gray Eagle) will be explored, and two separate fishing sessions on Jamsion, and Frazier creeks. The Lost Sierra's terrain is moderate to heavy at times with loose cobblestones, rocky terrain, and slippery conditions. Participating anglers should be acclimated to river conditions, hiking, being stable, and experienced when wading, while covering water, runs, and riffles. Participants are required to drive their own vehicle during the auto tour portion of the event.
