The Truckee River's terrain is moderate to heavy at times with loose cobblestones, rocky terrai, and slippery conditions. Participating anglers should be acclimated to river conditions, being stable, and experienced when wading while covering water, runs, and riffles. Extreme caution is advised when fishing high water, and wading too deep is highly discouraged.
