Women Fly Fishers

In partnership with Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers, Sierra Fly Girls was co-founded by Laura Murph and Karen Caterino in October 2019 as a community of women advancing the sport of fly fishing and conservationism in Northern California and Northern Nevada. 

Our mission is to encourage, promote and support women fly fishers.

Our vision is to offer year-round fly fishing, women-only activities for all levels of experience. We like supporting causes that conserve and protect local fisheries and watersheds. We like to volunteer for causes that enhance the quality of life for women through fly fishing.

Sierra Fly Girls has a calendar of events that can be seen below or by clicking the calendar in the menu above. We have our own forum for sharing of ideas, impromptu fishing by connecting with other members as well as annual fishing trips. We offer beginner and advance fly-fishing clinics, guided trips and socials for our SFG members.
