About this event

Open to both members and non-members that may be interested in joining the club.

This clinic will cover the basic casting techniques for beginners and intermediate casters. We will cover everything from different grips to how to form great casts to how you can dissect problems in your own casting stroke. You will understand the mechanics of the rod, line and your arm.

We are going to try a new location - the ponds at Crystal Peak Park in Verdi, NV. We will start at 8 am and please try to be early as parking can fill up early on Saturdays. NDOW plants trout in the ponds so you will need a NV fishing license. Bring your rod and reel, hat, sun glasses and beverage. Flies are optional, but why not? You do not need waders as we will cast from the shore.

The ponds are located on the north side of the road - walk through the tunnel to access them.
