Events - Event View

This is a day trip of packraft fly fishing trip on the Middle Fork of the Feather River with local guide Matt McCourtney. With October water levels before the rains low, we are structuring this as 3 or 4 separate days on the river with 2 anglers each with maybe 1 day of 3 anglers. With a packraft we are able to access more of the river than walking and wading in. Each person is in their own raft provided by Matt, we float, get out and fish, step and repeat.

Note that this is a kind of more rugged and physical outing versus say a float trip with a guide on the Truckee. Your packraft will likely bottom out a few times, you will have to get in/out a bunch, you will have to find a way to get a raft over rocks, a little scramble here there, even when tired, stuff like that. A much more backcountry type thing. For some, lots of fun.
