About this event
The East Walker River is tailwater fishery located below the Bridgeport Reservoir just 5 miles from the town of Bridgeport, CA.
Anglers come from all over the world to try their luck against the wiley browns and rainbows of the East Walker and many report having 20 to 40 fish days. Most of these fish average 15 inches but a good number are in the 18 to 24 inch range.
TTFF had an outing on the E Walker last year and some members had 15+ trout in a day and a few fish over 20" were caught.
The fishing starts immediately below the Bridgeport reservoir and flows for about 7 miles before crossing into Nevada. The river continues to fish well for another 10 miles into Nevada so there is plenty of room to spread out.
This trip is appropriate for beginners to advanced anglers.
The town of Bridgeport has several hotels and restaurants that cater to the fishing community and there are also several campgrounds in the area that offer hookups and primitive camping.

You'll need both CA and NV licenses if you plan to fish both sides of the border.
You are responsible for your own food, transportation and lodging.
We will have a no-host group dinner each night at a restaurant in the town of Bridgeport.
A zoom call will be held about 1 week before the outing to give an orientation of the area, fishing tactics and recommended gear.
The flow rate of the E Walker varies significantly based on snowpack which may impact the ability to fish the river effectively We will monitor flows and may adjust the dates accordingly.
