New for 2021 the Nymphing Clinic will cover Indicator(suspension nymphing) and Euro style(tightline) techniques. Basic points of when and where to use which style. And a few tips of our own introduced throughout the day. Perfect for the beginner to advanced angler.
Itinerary
8am: Meet at Mountain Hardware and fill out releases and logs
9am: Basic overview of Indicator and Euro styles and set ups.
10:00 am: Casting the two
10:30 am: When to use each. Water types
11:00 am: Weight and no weight
12pm: Lunch
1pm: Put it together and fish
2pm: Where to fish: temperature, fast water, slow water
3pm: Dry/Dropper techniques
4:30pm: Review and Questions
5pm: Pack up and plan the next adventure

Four Seasons Fly Fishing is an experienced Orvis endorsed guide service and outfitter offering fishing tours of the Truckee River and Lake Tahoe area of Northern California since 1997.
Our fly fishing season typically runs from late April through mid November, weather permitting. We fish the Truckee River, Little Truckee River, Boca Reservoir, Prosser Reservoir and other local waters. We utilize top-water, nymphing, and streamer techniques depending on conditions.

Your Professional Lake Tahoe Fishing Guide
It has been over 27 years since I moved to the Truckee-North Tahoe area to work as a ski patroller at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. However, I found a bonus in the excellent fly fishing on the Truckee River, home to wild Rainbow and Brown Trout. Upon further exploration, I discovered that the whole Truckee-North Tahoe area was loaded with diverse fly fishing opportunities. From rivers, lakes, streams, trout or bass, there is something here to suit everyone interested in fishing, from beginner to expert. I started Four Seasons Fly Fishing in 1997 to showcase the uniqueness of this area. I’m still living the dream of fishing through the spring, summer and fall and skiing all winter and enjoy sharing all the seasons with others.
My goal since the beginning, has been to provide a personable, fun, and informative fly fishing experience for my clients. I welcome the opportunity to share my passion and over 25 years of knowledge of fly fishing with everyone, from beginner to seasoned veteran. Women and children are the future of our sport and I welcome the opportunity to peel back the layers of the art of fly fishing to help others find the passion that originally got me into the sport and continues to excite me to this day. From simple to sophisticated techniques, I can show you the way.
Together we can make your trip memorable. Once you are here, I can provide everything but the fishing license. No need to go searching for the right weight rod or that specific fly pattern.
