The club is returning to the UC Field Station on the Lower Yuba River!  This is an opportunity to fish the best water below the Englebright Dam.  We have both Saturday and Sunday reserved for up to 15 people each day.

The property is located about 1 1/2 hours from Truckee via I80 to the Highway 20 exit to the bridge crossing the Yuba River.  We will meet just past the North/West end of the bridge on Saturday morning - car pooling is encouraged.  Everyone needs to be ON TIME at the meeting place as we will then proceed to the property which is LOCKED.  So everyone needs to go in at the same time.

There is a very nice pavilion with picnic tables and a charcoal grill.  The club will bring some charcoal for you to grill up a hot lunch if you like.  You are responsible for your own lunch.

If the river is running less than 1,000 CFS, wading is very possible and there are 3 miles of river to access.  The fish here are recovering from the massive high water flows of last winter.  There will be indicator/Euro-nymphing as well as the potential of hitting the Skwalla stonefly hatch for some dry fly action.

You will need a 5 or 6 weight rod with a floating line for indicating or dry fly fishing.  A sink tip line could also be used to swing streamers.  Most importantly, bring a WADING STAFF.  The Yuba is covered with bowling ball sized rocks and a staff is really required here.

For those fishing both days, there is camping available at the nearby Sycamore Ranch campground (Yuba County Park).

The event is subject to river flows and weather so it may be rescheduled.
