Cliff Frazier Memorial Youth Fly Fishing Camp

This program honors a treasured original member of TTFF, Cliff Frazier. Cliff was known for his willingness to walk up to a clearly beginning fly fisher and offer his sage advice from casting technique to where to fish to sharing a fly that is working. The two and half day program is designed to quickly prepare a young person with the basic skills to rig their rod, tie critical knots, understand trout and their behavior and most of all, catch fish. 

With our partnership with the San Francisco Fly Casting Club at their facility on the Truckee River, the youth are partnered one-on-one with an experienced club member. Here they fish a stretch of the Truckee that is actively stocked by the SFFCC each year and our experience is that every youth catches a fish. 

This is the premier youth fly fishing program in the area and for a fee of $125 is a tremendous bargain.   The two and one half day program is offered in early summer of each year.

Registration for 2024 will open on April 8th at 9 am. At that time go to the TTFF  July 9-11 Event Calendar to register. Enrollment is available on a first come basis to youth ages 10 to 14, which have not participated in prior years.
