Casting Clinic

Open to both members and non-members that may be interested in joining the club.

This clinic will cover the basic casting techniques for beginners and intermediate casters.  We will cover everything from different grips to how to form great casts to how you can dissect problems in your own casting stroke.  You will understand the mechanics of the rod, line and your arm.  

Bring your own rod and reel, lunch, beverage, sun glasses and hat.  No need to bring any flies as we don’t want hooks flying around!  We will have some yarn to tie to the end of your leader.

We will meet at the 'Toilet Bowl' on the river off of Glenshire Road in Truckee.  Take Glenshire road east out of town until you see the road start to clime a large hill.  There is a large pine tree at the turn off and a dirt parking area.  Let's meet there at 9.  We will then cross the railroad tracks and head to the river a bit west of where we cross the tracks.
